Patient's right to privacy

Just a word of warning about using public health clinics. Their records are open for background checks and when the employer asks "have you every been treated for mental health problems" and you have been to a public clinic, it will show up. Private is really the best way to go if you can.

This was posted in the student's forum here, and I asked if anyone knew whether or not this was true. I haven't gotten any responses, so I am hoping someone here might know if this holds any truth. Thanks.

I've never heard that. Can't imagine it's true with Hipaa and all.
