What exactly ARE PCT's and what do they do? What kind of qualifications must you have to apply for this kind of a job? Anyone know?

Okay, that makes it MUCH more clear! Thank you! I know my hospital will accept my app. when I am in my second semester.

PCT's in Atlanta includes three certs. You first have to become a CNA (I'll finish this part next Wed.), after that, you go on the phlebotomy portion and then EKG. You actually sit for all three exam b4 you can officially carry the "PCT" title. The hospital's have different titles, but if you read the qualifications, they usually tell you which cert is required. Some only ask for CNA, while others ask for all three or a combination of two.
