Patient care technician to LPN or RN to BSN

Published

I have a question i'm curently a Patient care technician Which mean i have my phlebotomist , ekg and CNA , certification i also have my associate in health care adminitration ... And i took my iv certification which mean i can put iv .. But im not allowed to do it unless im a RN in the state of new yoek ... Lol if i only knew sooner would .. Well .. Im also a medical assistant and medical biller and coder .. the question is since i have all of my nursing pre - req i would like to know which would be a smarter route for me ... if going to lpn school then BSN or just going straigth in to RN - school then to BSN .... I was also wondering since i have my associate in health care would it shorten the process ... Lpn is 11 moth RN 2 years Lpn to bsn 2 - 4 years RN to BSN 1.5 year But i would like to know if in my cituation having an associate plus lpn plus pre- reg would only mean i have to go,for school for 11 moth plus 1.5 year to get my BSN. .? Is that posible ? I actualy got a letter from a school that say Applications for the RN/BSN program are accepted on a continuing basis. Students with prior college credits must have and maintain at least a 3.0 grade point average (GPA) to meet program qualifications. Applicants are required to have an Associate's Degree or at least 64 credits, including required science .That prety much sounds like me .. The only thing is that theres a big waiting list .. So i was wondering if i should just do the lpn so i can go to school online with out having to wait . Would they used my 64 credit plus lpn and put me to complete the BSN

a few things:

1) I see that you have asked this question 12 times already. What makes you think you will get a different answer by posting it again?

2) One period is all that is necessary at the end of a sentence.

3) You are violating the terms of service by referring to yourself as a nurse when you are not one.

Good luck with your plan. I am sure you can find the answers to your questions if you use the search function on this site.

Negative people now a day if you have nothing good to say dont say nothing at all. You wasnt helpfull at all

So whats your advice in regards to what i said again ..

I'm a nurse back in my country .. I use this user name in every thing .

I am trying to help you. If you expect help from strangers, it would be nice to proofread first. It shows respect for those that are taking the time to help you. I think you are not getting helpful responses because your post is barely literate. Like I said, I wish you luck. No i dont have the answer to your question, but there is an entire section on this site devoted to the LPN-RN-BSN debate.

Well thank you and read most post but its not exactly what im asking
