Passing NCLEX-PN after failing

Nursing Students NCLEX

Published

From HHA to CNA to QMA and After failing the NCLEX-PN back in Jan. I am now a Licensed Practical Nurse!!! I passed my test last week and it feels like a weight has been lifted off my shoulders. (For now until I go back for my RN) I graduated from school last fall. When I got the confirmation that I'm finally a Nurse I was ecstatic!!! When I failed the first time of course I felt my life was over and I was very down and out about it. I live in Indiana so I had to wait 45 days to test again. I took a month off from studying and picked myself up and went harder than I had before. March to April I studied every day. I just want to share some words of encouragement to those out there who was in my shoes. I'm a single mother of twins, I work and have a home to take care of, so finding study time I know can be challenging. But YOU HAVE TO STUDY!!! The resources that worked for me was the NCSBN 3 week learning extension course and I can say this helped alotttt!!!! I had the uworld app (do the whole uworld) READ THE RATIONALES !!! I had the nclex-pn mastery app similar to uworld but uworld rationales are more in depth, any question I got wrong I looked it up in my Saunders nclex-pn book or Exam Cram-PN book and made a flash card for that question or wrong answer with the right answer. It's important to know why you don't understand the question and why you got it wrong. There is a special way to answer the questions on the nclex it's important to know the strategy, what they are asking you and what they are looking for in the answer you are giving. I hope this has helped. I've been there and I know its frustrating. But what is for you is for you. So study hard like your life depends on it because at the end of the day it does, this is your career that you've worked hard to get and you deserve that License!!! Stay calm, say a prayer and go in there with your head held high and be positive!!! Write your name with your title, update your resume to reflect your new position so when you pass your test its ready to send and believe in yourself. I'm rooting for you!!!

Hello, I take my test in two weeks and I am so nervous! Congrats for passing!!!
