Passing a&p 2

Nursing Students Pre-Nursing

I need some tips to pass a&p2 on to master this class . I am audio and visual learner and today's felt discourage because it had sound like the person was saying I am not getting the information and it is not like I am reading so maybe it is best if I drop the class. I do not want to do that because I feel like I do know the information so I should be able to pass the class with a honest good grade not a failing grade even though people are still cheating in the class . I just need help passing this class and understanding the information the right way. Any tips for the chapter the brain and the cranial nerves and the other chapters will greatly appreciated.

I am taking A&P 2 right now. I think it's a whole lot easier than 1.

The brain and cranial nerves were in A&P one at my college. It's plain rote memorization.

As for the rest of the brain, or any other chapter for this matter, the question is always "Why does the body do this or what is the body trying to do?" If you know the "why", the "how" is clear.

Hope this helps!

Thanks for the advice my professor started the. Chapter on 20th of this month and by the 30th we should know the information because we have a test on the 30th on that chapter

I understand. We had one week for the brain, NS's and cranial nerves. Look up mnemonics to memorize the nerves; that's the only way I could do it. I sat in my exam reciting the mnemonics in my head lol.

As for the other parts of A&P, really try to understand the physiology. Khan Academy has some great videos on those subjects.

I took A&P 1 and 2 over the summer 8 weeks of hell class 5pm - 9pm lab included, alot of material short time, however I was never a big reader I would take good notes review notes and would read only specific sections on key topics, a lot of the text book to me seems pretty useless just more information added for no reason... I would also suggest going on YouTube there is a channel called AnatomyGMC i believe that has lectures for each chapter I would listen to them at night before bed, it really helped a lot, as well as taking practice quizzes. I passed both classes with a 4.0 while still working and going out every weekend. If i can do it you can too!

Thank you for your support it really help me feel like I can pass this class the third time go round because I really want this so bad.

I will listen to it over the weekend the YouTube video and my professor lecture on tergity do the practice quiz on Wiley plus and read it until I understand it until Wednesday! That is the exam day for chapter 14 but I am suppose to see my professor on Monday from 11am to 1pm to go over what I have read over the weekend about the chapter to see if I am ready and able to pass that chapter test with at least an 80% . The last two chapter exams I got an 39% on lecture on chapter 12 and chapter 13 I got a 63% lab quiz grade I got a 95% and the other one I just took I got an 78% ! So I just need to focus on passing the lecture exam so I can pass the class

Here is the thing...it doesn't matter if you are an "audio and visual learner". The reason why is when you are nursing you will be getting information from multiple sources and you need to be able to make the correct decision. You can't make a med error then blame the doctor because you are an "audio and visual learner". Make sense? You need to successfuly naviagate the course and forget the excuses. If you are unable to to pass then you will not meet the requirements to graduate and be allowed the chance to take the NCLEX. If you DO meet the requirements and graduate you then may be eligible to take the NCLEX. It is a fairly simple and straight forward concept.
