I would like to share my NCLEX story to give some encouragement to all foreign students trying to pass this exam .
I applied for licence for NYS . It took me 6 month for CGFNS and about 1 year for NYS BON to approve my credentials.
So after waiting almost for 2 years I was finally able to take my exam.
I will not talk how I failed exam 4 times, but I knew I needed to change something, doing only questions and rationales wasn't enough . So I decided to read the content again and refresh my memory . I started reading ATI and Hesi book at the same time( read maternity in one book and the next day on the other book
). After finishing reading both books and making a lot of notes I started doing questions. I did RN mastery, used it everywhere I could I did not use UWorld because I used it before and spend a lot of money on it. I had a lot of notes from Uworld.
The last 4 times I went for exam I was very nervous, very scared . Every time I would park my car my heart was beating fast and I would just get very nervous. So this time I was very calm, relaxed. Like I went to visit my friend , I did not panic and I honestly think it helped me a lot.
I went for my exam. I had 86 questions, no ekg, no math, 17 SATA questions ( yes, I counted them, every time I had SATA I would make a line on the notebook ) .
After I left the exam i did not do the trick. I didn't want to disappoint myself with early result and was just scared to check it. After 48 hours my quick results came up. I was so scared to check them , so I thought to do trick first and it was positive pop up. I couldn't believe it, I checked it 3 times and it was positive. I bought quick results and yes, there were 4 letters: pass
it was a great feeling knowing that I did it, all your hard work payed back and it all was worth it.
Please don't give up . I know it's hard test , but when you will be done you will be proud of yourself knowing that you did it and it is best feeling ever. It feels weird knowing that I don't have to run home to do questions or pull up my phone for Rn mastery.
please don't give up, work harder , you can do it.
