Hello everyone. I would always come on this site when I became nervous about sitting for my nclex so I thought I would share a bit of my journey to passing. I sat for my first try at nclex in July of 2017. I graduated in May 2017. I sat for 5 hours 265 questions and failed. I didn't do many practice questions and no reviews(which I know wasn't smart). I under-estimated the test(do not do this). I decided to take several months to study until I was comfortable. Do not rush to take the test like I did the first time. It does not matter that your classmates have already taken it and passed. Please make sure YOU are comfortable. I decided to refresh myself with content using Remar quick facts for nclex, which is a really condensed version of content that was actually on my nclex. I also did U-world twice because I had to keep pushing my test date back. I HIGHLY recommend UWORLD!! I also used the prioritirization book by LaCharity. On February 20, 2018. I sat for my nclex for the 2nd time. After 75 questions which took me an hour, my screen went white. I had 20 satas, a few meds, and one drag and drop question. I walked out and knew I'd passed because I was prepared, and I told myself I wasn't leaving without my license. If I can do it so can you. I made it through nursing school without a car, and we all know how hard that can be. I just wanted to encourage someone not to give up. The NCLEX is tough, but nursing school made us tougher.

Congrats! What did you do different with Uworld this time around? Did you take more notes, study the rationales more...
Thankyou, and I studied the rationales in depth. They have a feature where you can copy pictures and rationales into a flash card within the app. I used that for things that I was unfamiliar with. So yes I took more notes and reviewed them after I was finished with the customized quiz. The biggest thing I can say is to get a prioritization and delegation book because both times I sat for my nclex there were a lot of those questions on there.

Inspiration is what I seek and the post did just that! Congratulations Nurse
Thankyou so much. Inspiration is what I desire to do. I was hoping that it reached/helped someone. I wish you many blessings on your current and future endeavors.
