I strongly recommend Kaplan for people who are looking for studying material to ace the NCLEX. It's pricy but it's worth it. I paid for the Kaplan online self pace course and it came with an e-book which is super comprehensive and basically has everything you "must" know for the NCLEX. I spent about 10 days (6 -8 hours a day) to study for the exam and I passed with 75 questions.
Here is how I study for NCLEX in 10 days:
1st day to 5th day:
1. read through the e-book and make notes for meds/disorder/procedures that are important or simply things that you are not familiar with.
The ebook is about 600 pages and I made my own 20 pages double sided notes after read through it.
2. Review Kaplan decision tree, NCLEX traps, and NCLEX rules Then take the diagnostic test ( it will then provide your performance report, so you have an idea about your strengths and weakness
6th to 8th days:
Do as many questions as you can, Kaplan offers thousands of questions, you will have many many opportunities to practice. Review all the explanations for each answer choice. At the same time, write down key words to remind yourself things you need to review again later
9th and 10th day
Review 20 pages of person notes and notes made from questions/explanations
Then take the Kaplan readiness test or continue doing Qbank questions
No studying after 6pm on 10th day.
That's how I studied for NCLEX and passed with 75questions :)
