So I just got my quick results today and I PASSED the NCLEX in 75 questions.
I took the 3 day kaplan course the day after graduation (I went to a 4 year BSN program) at the end of may. I started studying 2 weeks before my test date. I really did not do a lot of studying. I didn't do any Q bank questions and did not even finish the Q trainers. I watched a few of the Kaplan videos and looked at a few nclex cram sheets on the internet.
My Kaplan scores were:
Q trainer 1: 51%
Q trainer 2: 47%
Q trainer 3: 45%
Q trainer 4: 49%
Nclex Sample test 1: 46%
Who do you see first: 87%
Readiness test: 58% ( i took this 1 week before NCLEX)
I also did ATI during last semester and on the predictor I got a 57.3% which gave me a 31-56% chance of passing NCLEX.
If i had to do it again I would 100% buy uworld instead of kaplan. I did not like Kaplans decision tree or rationale. The only real study trick that I felt really helped me was thinking about ABCs, which I knew before Kaplan. The kaplan decision tree literally doesnt work and I don't feel like I got very much out of using Kaplan.
I feel the need to post all this here because I was SUPER stressed about taking the nclex and almost moved my test because I kept seeing posts about people failing the nclex with higher Kaplan scores than mine and it freaked me out. Reading this would have made me feel better.
