Passed NCLEX with a 4 month old baby around

Published

Hi everyone

I would like to share my experience with NCLEX In hope of bringing a bit of positivity to my fellow nurses preparing for the exam. Let me introduce myself as a mother of 6 month old baby, i did my nursing school in India and hence preparing for the exam was not an easy task for me.i got my ATT in june, when i was pregnant with my son he was due in august. I decided to stArt studying and write the exam before my son arrived. Let me tell you this, the exam pattern in India and here is totally different Hence i found it extremely difficult, anyhow i didnt give up, i sat down with my saunders for one full month and studied meticulously at this time i was 8 months pregnant. By july i found it extremely hard to sit down for more than ten minutes with my huge tummy. it was very stressful as well since nesting hit me. I couldn't concentrate and was growing tired and breathless after few minutes of sitting so, decided to postpone studing. I restared after my baby was 2 months old, it got much more harder with the baby around. Now it was cooking and cleaning for my family, taking care of my baby and studying. i had to do everything single handedly. Often i felt i couldn't do it. I had no support nor did I knew anything about the exam, I graduated in 2009 hence studying after such a big gap made things worse. I used saunders to study the content, after each chapter i did kaplan q bank and also heard Helen feuers audio review while i did my daily chores and fed the baby. By the time my son was 4 months old i felt prepared to take the exam. Took it and passed in 75 questions.

I was just an average student at school, but with all these adversities if I could pass NCLEX RN in 75 questions anyone could. Submit all your plans to god, be persistent with prayers and start studying. Good luck

Congratulations!!! I graduated 20 somthing years ago (International Nurse)... I passed Nclex after multiple attempts!!! with God all things are possible...

Congrats to you too..í ½í±í ¼í¿¼
