Hey guys,
I passed my Hesi test today! What a great way to end this year! I wanted to tell you guys my experience, because this site helped me when I was studying and preparing for the exam. I receive a 88% overall score. That's a score I'm truly happy with. My sections of the test included everything but chemistry and biology. So sorry guys I can't help you with that.
Starting off with Math: I got an 84 in the section. There was a lot of fractions which was easy since I learn from the Exam Review book edition 3. There ways also a lot of ratio problems. There was a calculator provide on the test.. so for the most part it was pretty easy. However, this was also my must time consuming sections.
Reading: There no possible way of failing this section. The answer are right in front of you, literally! Just read the passage and answer the questions. This took me awhile also.
AP: I receive a 92. There was a mix group of calculation from AP one and two. All I can say is take the most practice quizzes you can and study out of the edition 3 boo and you should do just fine. I also bought the Hesi App of my iphone for ten bucks which help me so much! I recommend you guys to buy it.
Vocab: I can't tell you guys how scared I was about Vocab. However I made a 86, which really shock me. However most of the words came in the edition 3 book review. Also the app I bought help me also.
Critical Thinking: It is kind of tough but don't worry. Just choose what answer you think is best! I received a 830.
Grammar: If you study the review 3 study guide don't worry about this! you will be just fine I made an 84.
I started studying two weeks before the test. The day of the test I did a light review, that's ALL! Also try not to have a heavy breakfast. Be mind ful of your time also.. I had 20min left when I finish the exam. I'm applying for UT and PV 2014 program. Good Luck everyone.

Congrats on the overall score! Must feel great to have a huge burden off your chest. I have 2 questions for you. For the reading section, would you say the questions were not tricky and were to the point? Also, which app are you using for the vocab review? Many people have said that only a few words come from the review. Reading and vocab is what I am really worried about. Any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated. Thank You.

I'm only concerned about the A&P section of the test. I heard they ask general questions in this section but I'm still nervous about this section. What kind of questions do they ask? I have the HESI Admission Assessment Exam Review 3 book which I'm studying. Can you please go in detail about the A&P section for me? How many questions? Type of questions? Examples?
email is [email protected] is you prefer to send it there. Thanks
Thank You so much. It is really a great feeling. For the reading sections the answers can all be found in the passage you read. There nothing tricky about it at all. I bought the Admission Assessment app on my Iphone that was ten bucks. It is a purple icon an is the only one that is ten bucks. Vocab for myself was basically out of the review book, but however I did here that some vocab was not out the book at all. I wish you the best of luck !!!
Hi Tipsey, sorry that I didn't email you but I prefer to talk on this site. However I can tell you a couple things about the AP part. First of all, this section is very broad and does not go into deep discussion about depolarization, cardiac cycle, or any other in depth material. I was ask question like what bone was located where, where is the mitral valve, what organs does the nutrients absorption. I would say that the review book and practicing quizzes on quiz let help me the best. Also there are only 30 questions.

Hello, and Congratulations on your great score. I am preparing for another exam right now, one of the colleges I am applying for requires the NAT test. I also want to take the HESI as the other college requires that test. If you don't mind, I have a two questions for you. On the math section of the HESI, were there any measurement questions on the test? Is it safe to say, the majority of the math section just fractions and ratios as you listed? Thank you and Congrats again. As for me, I am trying to better my options by applying for two colleges in hopes of getting into one of them. Best of luck to you.

Congratulations! I want to do really good on the HESI exam. I'm taking it in April. My school offers them on several days and you have to pick two days to take the test. I want to take the sections that I know will be hard first. I want to take math and grammar first and then do reading, vocabulary, and A&P. Wish me luck!
Hello Aye-Ne, I wouldn't say that the test would be just ratio and fraction . It could be anything in the review book including conversions and measurements. Good Luck
Good Luck!
Wish you the best of luck. I am taking the test at the end of this month as well.

Hello everyone! I will be taking my exam on Jan 24, here in Houston TX. I feel pretty confident with everything other than the conversions....kitchen measurements to be exact. I pretty much memorized all the feet..kilos..meters etc. Did anyone have any success with a particular study guide of the kitchen measurements? I got a 94 in Math the last time I took it which was in 2012 (August). I was trying to apply into the ASN program at my local college but made a 74 on Vocab so I couldn't apply, and that was the only subject I missed out on. Everything else were 90's. I'm actually going to be applying into the schools LVN program, because I missed the RN application, and I'm desperately just wanting to get my foot into the door.
Hello, The only book I use was the Hesi Reviews book edition 3. It has yellow and blue book.
