Passed Hesi..but

Published

So I took the HESI test yesterday and before they take you to your destined computer lab room, the school announces how many students are applying and how many spots are open before we take the test...after hearing the numbers made me even more nervous than I was. 120 students applying for 40 positions..yikers! I scored 83 which I would consider in the middle of the road...I'm thinking I am not going to be getting in for the Fall semester, unless a miracle happens...I have two kids and a husband who is supporting all of us, but my thing is, is I don't have the time to be someone's chess piece, and I think it is going to be the same amount applying next semester...has anyone else been in these shoes and if so, what did you do...did you try a different college? ...currently I am at a community college.

Are you able to retest? I know for my school you can only take the test twice a year. Good luck

Yeah I can retest this October...I think I just need to breathe..and wait for the results...lol. I have read a lot of forums about people saying that waiting is the worst...now I know exactly how they felt and it doesn't feel good at all.. Thanks for the wishes!! (I still have to wait a week yet until I find out.)

If it makes you feel any better..i was told there were 200 applicants for 65 spots. I made an 84 on my hesi, my school has a point system, i had B's in my pre reqs ans also husband and two kids, i was accepted. First try. It was totally nerve racking as i had no second chances. One test per year. Have faith dear :)

I made it in..just found out today...i feel like a huge weight has been lifted!!

Just received my mail and the envelope was in my slot...I ran home opened it up...my daughter says to me that she hopes it says yes, and I take the letter out and it says that I passed!...that was the biggest rush of my life (bigger than giving birth)...on to the next chapter! I also told my daughter that we were one step closer to taking the family to Disney Land...amazing what family will inspire you to do. (Big Exhale)
