Passed Hesi... Not accepted?

Published

Hi!

I recently took and passed my Hesi Exam... I'm just wondering if anyone has passed the Hesi but wasn't accepted to their school?

Probably quite a few. Nursing schools want a package deal and the HESI is just part of the package. Most schools also at least look at GPA, and some quite a but more. HESI just shows basic knowledge required to learn in the courses.

I believe that it depends on your school's system. At mine a score over 85 is competitive. We're on the points system so the higher your Hesi score, gpa, and amount of pre reqs complete the better. Good luck to you!

I agree with the above poster. I think there are quite a few people (actually, maybe a lot) who have passed the HESI and still not been accepted. Especially when you consider how many of those in your competition maybe have scored better than you. It's just another part of the puzzle of the whole package your school wants. I don't think there are many schools that only weigh in the HESI scores.
