Took the CCRN on 10/10/15 since it is changing soon. I studied for about 1 month using Laura Gasparis audio CD and PassCCRN (strictly online questions). I passed with 100/125 correct.
I did a lot of snooping on this site reading past posts about CCRN strategies and nurses input about the test. After taking the test, I felt like the questions were pretty difficult. I really had to take my time and figure out the situation and what answer was the BEST. Literally 75% of the questions I felt like I narrowed down to 2 choices and spent a few moments playing out the situation in my head.
I have never really been a good test taker. I did not make this post to scare or discourage those who are using the LG audio CD and passCCRN strat, but actually encouraging those to open the pass CCRN book or utilize an additional source to understand the concepts better. Keep in mind, there are many variations of the exam. Good luck, study hard!
P.S. Do not underestimate the professional caring/ethical questions.

I just passed mine today too!!! I had to cram and study 4 days before, I should have studied on my day's off, but was working 6 days a week all the time. I did Laura's DVDs, AACN cd's, Q&A's from AACN and Laura's book, and PASS CCRN Questions. The reviewers had harder questions but the CCRN questions were the one's you'd think won't show on the test.
And Oh, you were right the Professional Caring stuff, oh my... and my lowest was behavioral, I was like... Hmmm...
