Hi guys,
I just passed my AANP FNP exam this January 2022. I graduated with a 3.77 GPA so I am somewhat having an ability to study pretty well.
I used Leik for my NP classes throughout the program to help me with forming the information I needed to study for my exams. I did not use a review course because those were too expensive. I figured that the review course is not going to give me any new insight since I have already learned this material.
So, I opted for the FNP Mastery app. It has over 1800+ questions that are on the phone app. They have a money-back guarantee that if you fail, they will refund 300% of what you paid for the app at the time of purchase. I basically answering 50-100 questions per day for one month. I scheduled my exam after finishing the app for one month and passed. I looked up the clinical pearls from Leik book prior to entering the testing site.
I think the exam was not difficult and definitely does not require to use the review course. Leik and the FNP Mastery app is all you need. Answering questions was a way of my brain to actively test how to answer questions. The content of the questions along with the detailed and clear rationales was extremely helpful.
I hope this helps you guys!

Hi!
Congratulations! That's so awesome and I am happy to hear you passed. Did you take any of the Leik practice exams? Curious what a good percentage is to pass the AANP.
Thank you in advance!

Hey. I don't know what you mean by the "leik practice exam." I purchased the Leik book 3rd edition and just did the questions in the book.

I don't know what you mean by "pass mark." I was average 67% on the FNP mastery app.

Congratulations! I'm testing next week. Doing FNP Mastery and I've read Leik and writing the pearls down for memory. Any other advice or topics to focus on?

No need to spend time writing it down. Thats a time waste. Just read it and then apply it when youre answering the questions on FNP mastery app.
Thanks! Things just stick in my memory when I write them down. FNP mastery is definitely good resource, getting about 75-80% so far and I’m halfway through. The questions are challenging but helpful learning

Congratulations! Those are the exact materials I am using, so I hope I get the same results as you! Will you be able to tell me if the AANP used the 2017 or 2020 GINA (Asthma) guidelines for the exam? How about the CDC guidelines for STI treatment for GC/CT? I think with the changes in 2021 both materials are starting to change their content and its confusing me as to which one is actually on the exam. Thank you!

Hello. I graduated in December 2021 but I had a newborn so I studied as much is could with newborn took the ancc in March cuz the application from my school took forever my school wasn’t responding for a month to ancc, anyway, I failed it by 3 points I change answers to much. I did high in clinicals so I thought I’d do better in the AANP so I took that same week I failed it I don’t know the results I got. But all I did was liek and I did some Sarah michelle practice questions. But did the FNP make u ready for the exams ?
