hello everybody out there. i just joined this forum. i hope u can help me out with some questions i have to ask u. i just applied to pccc in paterson for their lpn to rn transition starting this may. i took the nln ace 1 exam but i was told i did not pass. i got 66 and the passing score they want is 70 and higher. please i just wanna know regarding my score in the exam am i gonna be automatically rejected to get in the program? the program starts may this year. i already email one of the nursing directors and asked the same question but was told that there is a committee that meets and reviews applications and they make the final decision. i already submitted my transripts from previous college i went to and my letter of recommendation with my transcripts from lpn school with a gpa of 3.30 and i already took my a&p 1 &2, microbiology,chem,eng1&2,psy with grades of c and better in all these courses. it's just the entrance exam i did not pass that's giving me a concern. pls i need to know what u think. anybody u know who have gone through this and still got accepted based on the fact that their entrance exam score did not meet up with the passing score. i am just so depressed based on my score. pls anybody out there should pls reply to this. ur effort is greatly appreciated. thanks

I hate to be the bearer of bad news but I'm a nursing student at PCCC and I know if a 70 is required, anything less than a 69.5 is not even considered.
Sorry.

Can you retake the nln exam? If you can I would recommend retaking it especially now you know what to expect. If you can't, maybe you should try to plead your case and show where you stand out in other areas. Some people are just bad test takers and if that's case and you do get into a nursing school you are gonna have to work your behind off to pass that NCLEX. Well, good luck!
