I wasn't sure where to post this. I almost posted it in the student forum but I thought as NP's you guys would have more info on parkinson dx. I was reading a journal article on Parkinson and from what I understand is the dopaminergic neurons get damange and eventually die leaving not many to produce the dopamine our brain needs for our unconscious muscle movements. What I didn't understand was the acetylcholine effect. How do they get more acetylcholine? Some pts are treated with anticholinergics but I just don't get how there is more Ach? Does it take up the room for the missing dopamine? Any info would help. Thanks guys
