hi. i wanted to see if i can get some responses from more experienced travelers, especially those who have been to the sf/bay area. i started my first travel assignment last october in daly city (just outside of sf) with agostini. i have overall praised the company in the past, but have always disliked the fact that i have to pay for parking at my 'free housing'. the housing is great, but it's in the center of san francisco, so there is no street parking available. the building i'm in has a garage in the basement, but they're charging me 345 (up from 330) bucks a month for parking there. the pay here is good, but i still feel like that should be included in my housing package. am i off?

Parking in SF is expensive and many that choose to stay there do not have cars with them, and use the BART to get to Daly City.
That same agency also places nurses in apts much closer to Daly City where the parking is free, or at a much lesser rate.

I have worked and lived in several cities where paying for apartment parking has occurred. The company I was with at the time did not pay for the parking either. In Seattle WA you pay for apartment parking if you live inside the city. You also pay for hospital parking where you work. The more expense the city is to live in the higher and more likely you are to pay for parking at your apartment.
