No online LVN courses of study exist in California.
Here's why: California requires all students in LVN programs to complete 954 hours worth of clinical rotations, which adds up to about three 8-hour clinical shifts per week over 12 months. There's no way these clinical hours can be completed online. They must be done in person.
Thanks The Commuter.....I know there are alot of scams online....but from what I have read on the California Board of Nursing website....they do accept online classroom part....and then must allign myself with a hospital of sort to do my clinicals! I know the rotations cannot be done online.....but what about the beginning part....classroom etc.?
You cannot do the classroom portion in the beginning and then return a few months later or a few years later to complete your clinical rotations.
California requires the classroom (theory) portion run concurrently with the clinical (hands-on) portion. In other words, if you are enrolled in a pediatric nursing course, you must be attending ped clinical hours during the same semester or quarter you're attending this class.

We had some paramedics in our LVN programs. They breezed through courses and even helped us out. Best of Luck!
