paper interview

Hey all! I have recently applied to a staff nurse position at a local cancer infusion clinic (outpatient). They have several locations, and some are connected with hospitals. I recieved an email reply to my resume and in it was included a pre-screen questionnaire. It has about 40 questions, typical of what would be asked in a person-to-person interview. Just wondering if this typical? The email asks me to list dates available and times for an in-person interview with the nursing coordinator. It also states to answer the questions, submit, and follow up with the person who sent the original email. Then, the nursing coordinator will communicate with me further to schedule the interview. I REALLY REALLY want this to work out!! But afraid to get my hopes up :uhoh3: I just know I need to get away from my current job, which is a med-surg/ortho floor in a busy hospital. It's taking a toll on me mentally and physically.

Any suggestions of things I should mention to help my paper interview stand out?? Oncology is fascinating to me and I really want this oppurtunity to work in this field.

    It's been awhile since you posted this... wondering if you got the job already or are you still in the hiring phase. The application process seems kinda lengthy. I have worked in the out pt oncology setting for 6 1/2 years now and like it pretty well. Let me know if you still have questions and I would be happy to help ya out!

    I don't really know what is going on right now. I went for the interview, and they actually sent me over to the clinic where I was interviewing with. I met with the clinic manager there and met one of the doctors. Now it's been 3 weeks and I haven't heard a word. I've followed up with them but still no word on their decision!! Would it take this long? Should I do more or just assume they aren't interested and move on?
