Congratulations!!! I received an email stating I am an alternate. I am hoping and praying I am able to get into this cohort! I will be at the meeting and will hopefully find out more then. Do you mind me asking how many points you all had? If I do not get in this time, just trying to see what I can do to boost my points. I know it varies, but it is nice to have an idea. THANK YOU!
Congrats and good luck to all.
On a different subject, my kid is starting her freshman at CSUSM but is not (allowed) to take any core science classes yet. We are thinking, to speed up study, to allow apply to Polomar and see if she can take Ana, Physiology, or Micro. How hard is it to get science classes there, how is the environment there(kind of small campus I guess), and any recommendation on which professors to take those classes from? Thanks
It's a lot of work. Literally feels like hanging on a cliff :) Instructors are helpful and professional but they are strict lol
were you in the recent orientation when 1st semester students introduced themselves?
Anyway, it's fun and stressful. You just have to work hard and sleep more while you can
I was recently in the orientation. Did you speak? What is the primary text for 117 and 103? I was just reading the orientation handbook and it indicates that we need to have read Vital Signs theory (Unit II) and Safe Environment (Unit 1). I am having trouble finding which book this information is in. Do the Units correspond with the Units in the book?
The handbook says to bring Ackley and Ladwig but I don't think it is in there. I tried to find Fall 2015 syllabus online at the Palomar College library webpage but the syllabus is not available online.
I rarely have free time but this weekend I wanted to get a head start on the readings.
I think that's Potter & Perry Nursing Fundamentals. I have never had problem matching their required readings with the books that I have. I would share our syllabus but I don't know if they will change anything for your cohort, so I guess just wait? They are pretty organized with their syllabus, so you should email the nursing office and probably ask how soon can you guys have access to the materials on blackboard.
No I wasn't there on orientation but I heard you guys were too quiet lol
