Hi everyone! I didn't see anything for Spring 2026 and since applications are being submitted I figured we could get together on this thread. We can share points, emails etc while we wait to hear back ☺️

Yeah I know.. I feel like a lot of ADN programs require you to have a lot of experience or different life circumstances to have enough points to be competitive 😞

I understand its tough out here in california. I applied with a 3.9 GPA for 3 years. went on to get bachelors and just worked until I got accepted
I received my rejection letter this morning. ADN programs here in San Diego are definitely impacted. I was planning on retaking the science prerequisites and reapplying for fall but does anyone know if Palomar (or the other CC ADN programs) will accept the retakes? I thought I read somewhere that Palomar can only accept one retaken science prereq.

yeah most ADN programs only accept one retake for prereqs and a max of 2 attempts on the TEAS. If you don't already have prior healthcare experience I would say focus on getting your CNA license and working for the 100 hours. also getting your associates degree while you wait to reapply would be another 5 points!

Oh OK, interesting. I have 2,000 hours as an EMT and a bachelors in bio (where I completed the prerequisites) but my prereqs were at Bs and B+s which is a huge different point wise from As. I think retaking the TEAS would be helpful but I don't think they accept the retake either until after a certain amount of time. Kinda stumped on how to raise points. Might have to try an ABSN through a private school or LVN then a bridge program.

YAY!! Congrats!
If everything was counted, I had 88 points!
