Hi everyone,
I thought it would be nice if we had our own thread. We can post questions, infomation and study group times related to our class. Also if you are in the nursing program already or have graduated and have advise or info for us newies I know it would be much appreciated.

Hi Kim- I am interested in this program.. how is it going so far?
It is going good. I have 2 more weeks of break before we start back again. It is alot of reading and studing but I find it very interesting.

Oh nice... im glad you're enjoying it. Was it difficult to get accepted? how many people are accepted each year?
I heard last semster was a very high points to get in. I think full time was 28. something. Full time excepts 100 people and part time excepts 30 people. Have you done your pre reqs?
not yet- I just took biology as a general course to see if I wanted to get into the health industry. I am signed up for human growth and development online right now and looking to do a&p and chem in the fall. I'm looking to start next spring.
How are the points calculated? and do i need to have all the prereqs completed by the time i submit my application?
Thanks again for all your help!!
Allie
Go to the pbsc website and watch the orentation video under the nursing section. It will help you answer all your questions. HTH

Hey well I'm almost done with the ore reqs to get into the nursing program at pbsc, but I was wondering if it would make a difference in getting a job as a nurse if I had my degree from FAU instead of pbsc. I know everyone takes the test to be a licensed R.N and I wondered if it'd make a difference as to what school I go to. I hope everything is going great for anyone who is in the program. Good luck.

I am now in the second semester at PBSC and from what I've heard from employees at various doctors offices and hospitals, they prefer PBSC because of the quality of nurses that come out of the program.
I will be starting my second semester of the full time RN program at PBSC in the fall 2011. I would like to see if there is anyone out there that can give me some advice as to whether to take the class online or in class. I took the first semester online and made a "B" but I've heard that the second semester is harder any info would be appreciated.
