Palm Beach State College Nursing (PBSC) program

Nursing Students School Programs

I am interested in applying here and I was curious to hear how it is. Is it difficult to find a job once completing the program and passing the NCLEX? I have a lot of people telling me to go straight for a ABSN (I already have a bachelors degree in another field), but I'm hesitant. I was in a ABSN program and I withdrew because of financial issues. It was also SO fast-paced and I have a toddler so I would really want to go for a regular paced program.

For me, my goal is to just be able to become a RN and be able to get a job. I know I'll eventually have to get the BSN.

I read on some other post that a lot of employers in the area like students from the ASN program at PBSC sometimes even more than ABSN students from other schools, because they find that PBSC students are better prepared to actually become nurses (more hands-on and have had more skills and training during the program rather than fast-paced ABSN programs that just bombard you with information). Is this true?
