Pain in upper posterior thigh from driving

Published

Hi all,

I've been doing home infusion nursing for past 3 years. In the past two weeks I've developed aching, sometimes burning pain in my upper right thigh. I drive a Honda Accord and am not able to adjust the seat. I do not think its my sciatic nerve but just from constant pressure from my seat. I do have occasional numbness and tingling in my right foot. Does anyone know of a good seat cushion?

If I'm doing a lot of driving my piriformis muscle(s) gets all spazzy, it can mimic sciatica. As I have major back issues to begin with it can be hard (for me) to tell whats up. I find doing some stretches usually helps a lot if the issue is the piriformis.
