Hi...
wondering if any1 can help me...im a uk paediatric nurse...i have a rnc (registered nurse paediatric qualification) but im not general trained..im just wondering if i can nurse in france on a paediatric nurse qaulifcation alone or do i have to retrain as a general...And if any1 can help me how i found out about getting into nursing over there...its just me and my parnter are discussing moving to toulose..and i dont know anything about the nursing situtation over there or how to get a job over there or even if they have the same types of registration as uk nurses over there...just generally stuck really...so if any1 can help it would be great...thank you....hayley

This thread should help but you do need to be fluent in French to work over there. Post 57 should have some info https://allnurses.com/forums/f75/nursing-france-51801-6.html and you could also try the search yourself on France and see what comes up.

The Paediatric qualiification is recognised in France. You have to pay for a court translator. You also have to be fluent in french which is my problem at the moment. They are desperate for nurses in France. The NMC if you pay them do a letter stating you are registered. Life in France is wonderful but at the moment I am travelling between Brittany and London as I need to work but my language is not fluent enought. So if possible do not move out until fluent enough or you will end up in the same situation as me
