THis is the Northern Ca booklet with skills for exam.
Thanks everyone, especially Tom, for posting the pdf files. I think the handbook contains what I need -- a list of 24 skills that includes the steps necessary to pass them. Very helpful! :thankya: (The handbook does mention an actual Skills Check List you can download from their website, but I couldn't find it and I'm not sure what it would contain other than what is already in the handbook.) My only uncertainty now is whether those are the same skills/steps needed for the Red Cross exam, as this document appears to be for the Pearson Vue Centers. Maybe I should plan on taking the PV exam to be safe, although the Red Cross location would be closer to where I live.
I'm in New York, but this is what we use here. It might help. It's a skills check list the teacher gave the class. http://prometric.com/NR/rdonlyres/e2ay4orsz2hiyor34e5dd4dkhqsn24kqguwq6hd4v42ii5oagea6jocovshml2deqoxucbfajx56qidhwglmehwoslf/NYNAClinicalSkillsChecklist20080902.pdf

Some folks in another thread (https://allnurses.com/cna-nursing-assistant/failed-my-cna-499953.html) spoke of a skills packet that can be found containing a checklist of skills with everything the evaluator is looking for on a certain skill during a CNA exam. Can someone tell me, is it available anywhere online for free? Is there only one packet or is it different depending on where you are going to take the exam? I'm in northern California and will probably take it with Red Cross.
Please reply if you know anything about this packet and checklist and where to find it.
Thanks!
