Pacific Lutheran University (PLU) ELMSN Summer 2025

Published

Hi,

Just wanted to start a thread for anyone who have been accepted/applied to PLU to start this Summer. Also, was hoping to hear from last year's cohort on how it has been. I'm not local to Tacoma, so advice of where to live would be great!

Hi, I applied this January and waiting for their reply. please email me [email protected].

I am glad you made a thread here. I tried to comment to the previewa thread last cohort but no one replied on me.

Hi. Glad to see this thread. I also applied for 2025 elmsn. I haven't heard back from plu yet. Has anyone been accepted?

I applied with the priority deadline (Dec 1) and I got the acceptance on Dec 23

Wow, congratulations! I submitted on 12/1. PLU said they will let me know by the end of January. Hopefully I can get in to. If possible, could I know your stats? If it is inconvenient, you don't have to.

I applied BSN and withdrew my application si I can apply for ELMSN. I applied on January first week and I haven't heard back yet.

Not inconvenient at all - I'm just not entirely sure. GPA for undergrad was about 3.3. Post-bacc GPA was 4.0 (took maybe 6 classes or so). I've worked as a medical scribe in various specialties for more than 3.5 years. Worked as a Anatomy lab TA. Minimal volunteer hours. LOR from that lab professor and a NP I worked with.

Thanks for sharing your stat! In case you wonder mine, I worked in engineering field for about 2 years before I changed to nursing. So no medical field job experience but I have about 400 hours of medical field volunteer experience in inpatient hospital. Other stats are similar with you. Hope I can get into the program too.

Has anyone else admitted to the program? I heard last week that plu plans to release decisions in this week. But I haven't heard anything yet.

I got the acceptance letter today!
