Pace University Accelerated Nursing Spring 2018

Published

Starting a page for Pace University ABSN for the spring 2018 cohort!

We were allowed to use a calculator, although you do not need one. If you take one with you, make sure it is one of those very simple, non-scientific calculators.

Both the writing and writing tests were timed.

Hey @lsj11,

I really am sorry you did not get in, but take it from me, this is not the end. This is not my first rodeo, I applied TWICE to the BSN program at Stony brook and got rejected. Then I had an issue with Pace last semester, I was actually an applicant for Fall 2017 and never got a chance to interview. You could call this my fourth application, but I finally did it. If this is what you want to do, continue to push. And just as an alternative, the NP at my job was also denied from Stony Brook and shes a genius. After she got her BS in psychology, she got an associates in nursing and then enrolled in an online program for her BSN. She then went to Hunter for her masters. Some routes are harder, but if you really want it they will give you the same outcome. Also, look into Downstate medical, NYU, Stony Brook, Wagner, and LIU. Hope it helps.

Hi guys! I just got an email for an interview the other day! It's on Oct 23rd at 10am I was just wondering the format and the type of things they ask? Any info would be great :)

hi! i was recently accepted too! I tried searching this group on FB but couldn't find it.

Just got the email for the interview! Has anyone applied to any other schools? I applied to Drexel and got in and put a deposit down to hold my spot as I waited to hear back from other schools. I'm just nervous about Pace's reputation I have heard mixed things about the program just wondering what other people think.

One more question about the calculations test for anyone that took it already...as I am doing the practice packet they sent us I noticed a lot of long division in the answers for some of the questions. Did they require you to show your work for long division on the test? I am just curious because it takes up time and since we can use a generic calculator I wasn't planning on doing it long hand. Just wondering if they asked you on the test to do it long hand or not thanks!!

Hi all--New to this board...I have my interview next Monday, October 23. Thanks for all of the heads-ups about the math exam. Curious now about the writing sample. Is it a clinical writing sample or what should we expect to write about? Just want to be ultraprepared. Thanks! :-)

Hi all!

I too am interviewing next week. Thanks for the input on the calculation exam!

I've read past threads and have gotten the impression that the interview is more for us to ask questions/see what they have to offer.

Was this true for this upcoming semester as well? Thank you so much! & congrats to all those who have been accepted :)

Hi, Jvmo513. Thanks for your information. I just wondering that what's written test gonna be. Just want to be more prepared.

Hey guys soooo... my application status says decision made but still no email. Is this a rejection? Has anyone heard back yet?

Hey when did you interview?
