im new here and was glad to have found this site. im doing my pre-req classes before I rank for the RN program in october. this semester im taking both a&p ll and microbiology and also doing service learning at my schools clinic for 3 hours mon & tues before class and im starting to feel very overwhemled. i feel like october is going to come super fast and i have all these last things to do and ahhhh! I also have to start preparing to take the TEAS test soon and im very anxious about that. I dont have good time management skills to be able to study for both classes but I have managed to make A's in all my ranking courses except for a&p l where i got a B and was wondering if anyone had any advice on how to not feel so overwhelmed.

If you're overwhelmed now then you will most likely feel the same in nursing school. A lot of information is given to you in a short amount of time and having time management skills will be essential not just in school but in nursing as well.

Make a calendar of one week and put on the calendar everything you do and the time you do it and see if there are any areas you need to cut or add time to. Give yourself time for cooking, cleaning, chores, sleeping, "me time", class, studying, etc. 24 hours 7 days a week. Visualizing your weekly routine will help with time management and possibly delegation.

Hope this helps. Good luck!!

whatever you are doing at the moment is your priority. If you are studying, focus entirely on that. If you are with family and friends, that will be your focus. Allow yourself to be less than perfect.
