Overpronation Blues

Anyone have any recommendations for a pair of good "solid white" shoes to use during nursing school for the person suffering from overpronation? Surely I can't be the only person in nursing with flat feet. If not I guess the next step would be $300 custom inserts cause the inserts at wal-mart wont cut it.

morte- I just found that on the internet- "plantar fascilitis" when I woke up in agonizing pain at 4 am. I printed it out and it sounds exactly like what I'm experiencing. I'm so tired of my foot throbbing through the nite.

After seeing a podiatrist for several months and being treated for plantar fasciitis (also have flat arch; my feet look great in my dance shoes though!) with all sorts of remedies including orthotics he finally sent me to a pedorthodist who is someone trained in fitting shoes for people with feet problems. He put me in Dansko clogs and I have been problem-free ever since. The pedorthodist had be walk and he examined my feet and was somehow able to tell what was going on. I wish you luck, this can be so absolutely miserable!
