Out of State CA RN by endorsement

HI everyone,

I am presently in NY and am applying for my license (RN) by endorsement in CA. I went online, did the Breeze app, printed out the form to mail, got a 2 X 2 photo, ordered transcripts, Nursys, etc. But, I made the mistake of thinking that the Livescan near my home in NY could do my fingerprints and apparently that is NOT the case--I need to submit ink fingerprints. Does anyone know if I can use any fingerprint cards OR if I need to get the 49.00$ cards from CA? Unfortunately I did not order them with my original online app as I believed I could do the livescan here. I did call the BON but gave up after a very LONG hold time --I also emailed them last week and no response. If anyone happens to know the answer, I'd appreciate it!

I believe that the cards mailed by the BRN are the same standard fingerprint cards issued by any police department, so you can just get them done there.

Edit: They are the FD-258 cards.
