2013 OU ABSN Applications

I know from reading previous posts there were a few others that were applying to the OU ABSN program. I just turned my application in about two weeks ago. I'm hoping to be accepted to the Duncan program. My husband and I will be moving back to the Lawton area at the end of August. We are currently in Alaska with the military.

I know I have been worried, especially since the website has not updated the site with the most recent student stats. I would like to know what the last batch of grades looked like compared to mine. Nothing I can do now but wait. Maybe we could all keep each other sane here =)

Mine have a mesh tongue...they are the only ones i could find that were mostly leather, a decent price and not too ugly! I hope they are ok! I figure my pants will cover most of the tongue...has anyone started ordering books or are you waiting until orientation??

I have not ordered my books yet. I think I am probably going to wait until orientation. I have always ordered my books from amazon and they never take long to be shipped, so I think I will have plenty of time to get them.

I ordered my books, but I like to get them early so I can skim through the chapters, look at the pictures and graphs. I just ordered the ones for the spring semester though. I'm still looking for shoes. Looking forward to y'all's reviews of the ones you got.

I'm thinking about ordering mine soon but I don't know if it would be better to wait until orientation...

I was accepted to TCC's RN program and went to the orientation too! I already had to accept financial aid through TCC, and I am in the final interviews to receive the Saint Francis scholarship. It kind of looks like I may be stuck there if I am not able to transfer my scholarship to OU and move my financial aid to OU. There is still hope though! Since we already have a bachelor's degree in another field, once we earn our RN we can apply to any of OU's masters in nursing programs without having to first obtain a BSN!

Yep, got them on amazon. I just purchased the books for the spring though.

Hoping for that same! Has anyone heard anything from the admissions office lately? Their prediction for December is getting awfully close to becoming a reality.

I haven't heard anything lately... I would email them again but I feel like I have bugged them too much! It's frustrating because I was initially told that it would be NO LATER than Nov 15. Has anyone emailed them? I can't believe that it's almost December and we still haven't heard anything.

Yes, it is frustrating because they state that it will take two months (which seems like a long time) from Sept 1 (app deadline). Its way past that now. I dont know what could take so long. They have everything they need, and it should be a fairly straight forward process.
