OSU-OKC FALL 2018

Published

Hi guys. I found several threads for previous semesters but not for fall 2018, so I decided to start a new one.

Does anyone know what the last cut off was? I heard two different answers and I haven't seen Gaytra yet.

How many students do they take per semester?

I just spoke with Gaytra and she said we should expect letters to be sent out the second week of May.

Second week of May? Wow lol. I feel like that's longer than the previous years.

I know, last class received their letters on April 1st..

Specializes in Gastro, outpatient surgery floor.

yea that is alot longer than previous years I will say but the deadline about 5 years ago was april 1... i do remember that when I was applying more. I had to take a few years off for health reason but im a old soul alumni to OSUOKC. I would love for the cut off the be 74. i would be on cloud 9 but also know that half of the wait list will get sent to other school votechs as the 1plus1 program as well. but since OSU in stillwater now has a nursing BSN program thats helped move some of the flow to stillwater for nursing students.

I hear ya... I applied with 88 and although I feel pretty good about it I would feel MUCH better if it was in the 90s. Worst case I'll have reapply next time and add my points for Micro to it (currently taking) Anyhow...hope to see you in the program this fall tho 😊

2nd week of May...that feels so far!

Wow- when I applied she told me they would send out letters early April.

Why was the deadline extended?

I am also in the process of moving, does anyone know how I can change the address of where the letter will go?

The deadline was postponed because of the weather that closed the campus a few weeks back. There were many students who were scheduled to take the HESI that Wednesday when the campus was closed. So to give them a chance they postponed the application deadline.

I would recommend letting them know you're change of address ASAP and notify them in person.

Also, I heard they usually send an email the same day as they send you letter! So you should be fine even if they don't change your address in time.

Hey everyone, I know there's a chance that this could knock me down in the rankings, but you all may check with Gaytra if you didn't have a meeting with her before you submitted your application. I emailed her to check how many points they had me at, and it was messed up. They had messed up my GPA and some of my pre-requisites. They had me at a 76, but now with the correction i'm at 93 points! I may not change anyone's points but I transferred from a private college so it took a little more work to get the credits transferred.

She added mine up with me when I applied. I went and talked to her yesterday...she didn't give me the cut off points but when I asked about my 88 points she smiled and said she thinks I'll be fine... She kinda got my hopes up and I'm keeping my fingers crossed. She said they had a higher number of applicants too... 215 and they accept 70. (lasy application period she said there was 170) She said they have to wait to see which students in the program need to repeat before they can send out letters with the remaining spots.
