Hey everyone. I thought I would start a thread for anyone who is applying to the Feb. 2017 Accelerated BSN cohort through UW Oshkosh. Anyone else out there?

Hi there! I found out I was accepted for Feb 2017. Have you guys exchanged emails yet? What state is everyone from?

I got my letter of acceptance today! :-) I've been slotted for the May cohort, though, which is fine. We had some discussion about it during my interview, and so it was pretty much what I expected to see if they accepted my application. :-)

Would anyone know by chance if they would accept 6 years of paramedic experience instead of CNA?

I am applying for Oshkosh Accelerated BSN May/October 2018 cohort. I am really nervous. I took the teas V once and did very poorly. Has anyone taken the new verson?What is the expected score to get in? How is the interview process. After submitting the application and finishing teas test how soon do we find out if we got in? I live in Oregon. Is there anyone apply live in Oregon

too?Any answer would be really helpful.

Hi. :-)

You have to be a CNA. Experience as a CNA is negotiable (I have an person who worked as an EMT in my cohort), but actually having a CNA certification is not. And you can't just be on your state's registry as a CNA, you have to be active.

Regarding TEAS VI, I did not find it difficult and if you had some problems in the past, I would recommend using a book called "TEAS 6 for Dummies" for preparation. The questions in that book are very similar to the actual TEAS VI. IIRC, you will need to score above the 77th percentile in order to be considered, but it depends on whatever the current mean score is for the test, and that is determined by ATI. The score changes. Get the book, shoot for passing all the practice tests at 80%, and you should be okay, unless your anxiety makes it impossible for you to pass. I am recommending 80% because this is the minimum score you will have to achieve in all your classes to pass, should you be accepted into the program. Start focusing on that number now! :-)

If you live in Oregon you do not need TEAS, at least for the Accel Online Option. I wonder if I am able to apply while living in California and eventually move to Oregon. My CNA is also from CA. Any thought?
