Orthopaedic Urgent Care

Published

Hello! I'm curious if any of my fellow orthopaedic nurse practitioners work in a practice that offers an after-hours urgent care type clinic?

If so ...

What are the after-hours clinic hours?

What is the hourly pay to work the clinic?

How many patient's do you typically see per day that are strictly "urgent care" patients?

What billing codes are you using when you bill for these visits?

Hi and welcome. I've never heard of an ortho urgent care. Is it located in an ER? A private practice? I notice from the spelling of orthopedic, are you in the UK? Sounds interesting.

Hello,

The clinic will be located in the ortho office/clinic - utilized after hours (from 5-8pm) for sports injuries, fractures, sprains/strains. Typical injuries that occur at sports practices or games. Our hope is save our patients long wait times in the ER and tap into that rapidly growing urgent, quick care, market.

I'm actually not in the UK - I wish. I live in the good ole' US of A, in the midwest. But we still spell "orthopaedic" the old school way. Vintage, I guess.

No problem - thanks for the explanation. Now I understand what you are talking about and yes, that does make sense. Are you located near a big enough city to have enough walk in pts?
