Orlando Tech LPN January 2012

Hi All-

I was wondering if anyone has started the process yet for the LPN Program for January 2012 at Orlando Tech.

I am taking the TEAS and TABE shortly and wanted some advice as in how difficult you had found the exams.

1) Is there is anything specific I should be studying?

2) Also, what was the process like when you came in? I know there is the coming in on a Thursday at 8a, meet with the advisor, take the two exams...

3) What is the process like though during it, do they give you some sort of answer whether or not you will be accepted?

4) How long is the entire process of getting accepted?

Sorry for being so wordy just really important as I am sure you can all understand. I really appreciate all of your responses!

I am also looking for this same info from Orlando Tech. Have you found out anything yet? I know that they aren't doing any testing this week...have you already tested?

Im looking for the same info. What version of the teas is given. Have either of you already tested? Im applying for the even program in January.

i only have advice for question #1 because i have not taken any of the tests yet.

i called o-tech a couple of months ago(may2011) and if i remember correctly i spoke with mrs. ****.

here is the information i was told:

tabe test – level a – must score 11.0 in each area.

teas test – version 5 – must score at least 75% in reading, math & english.

the tests are given every thursday at 8am and 5pm - and you will have to attend orientation first.

orientation is held every thursday at 8am and 5pm.

i was given this info back in may so it could be different now.

i purchased these books to help me with the above tests:

one thing about the ati study manual for the test of essential academic skills (teas) version 5.0 is there are some typos/mistakes in the answer keys.

you will have to go to the ati web site, register, and then you will be able to download the 3 page “study guide corrections”. it will be under the resources – publications tab.

i hope others will chime in about the actual process and what it is like.(questions 2-4) i am very interested in this as well.

Hi,

I am also trying to get into the January 2012 LPN program. Do you have to attend the orientation and then take the TABE? I'm going on the 22nd for Orientation. Would that mean I'd take it at 5 instead of 8? Thanks!

I plan on going to Orlando Tech when I move down there next week, so hopefully I start with you all. I'm moving from Indianapolis, Indiana. Wish me luck and good luck to you all.
