Hello!
I am a new RN. unfortunately I went to a school who did not get their accreditation before they were de-funded and closed down.
Everywhere I am looking says that they will only hire nurses from an accredited school and I am really freaking out.
Has anyone been in this scenario and got a job?
Thanks!

You must be only searching for acute care hospital positions.
I graduated from a non-accredited associate degree nursing program. In the area where I reside, the nursing homes, specialty hospitals, group homes, adult daycare centers, psychiatric facilities, hospices, private duty cases, and home health companies will hire RNs who graduated from unaccredited programs.
Thank you for the reply! I have been trying to look into this, but it is extremely hard to find an open position.
Will I ever be able to get into a bigger hospital after I get experience?

I have an ASN and I have already contacted a school that is accredited to start my RN-BSN. I was planning on doing that regardless.
this stinks!
