Organic Chem from CCConline anyone?

Has anyone taken Organic Chem from the colorado online colleges? Is the lab completely online and how difficult was it. This is a reputable college system right? Also is it semester units or quarter? Thanks

I don't think ccconline has an actual organic chem class. I think they have a combined general/organic/biochem class. I am currently taking Micrbiology through ccconline and yes it is a reputable school system. It is the Consortium of Colorado Community Colleges. You pick a home school and your transcript comes from them. (I use Pueblo Community College and have found them very helpful and quick to respond -- not so with Community College of Denver whom I pestered for several months before giving up) The credits are in semester hours. Hope this helps.

Hello thanks for replying. Is the combined class not one you'd usually want? My school requires an organic chem or a biochem so I thought maybe that one would work, anyway....

I am taking Micro next and was thinking of ccconline for it. Whats the class like? Is it difficult to do labs at home? Was it easy to get into the class? no wait list or anything? Thanks.

UC Berkely has both Into Organic and Biochem in an online/distance learning format. Here's the link:

I had no trouble registering after I used Pueblo as my home school. There are pre-requisites -- I used Intro to Chem and A & P I & II. The labs are done with a home kit -- not virtual -- and are time consuming. You really need a place free from distraction, and with 2 kids, I have a hard time getting the amount of time I need. If you have a basement or don't have kids, I don't think you will have trouble. You have 4 groups of 3 labs, so it is best to complete 3 at one time. That has not always been possible fro me, so I have had to re-grow cultures, which take anywhere from 24-48 hours so far.

The website has very detailed descriptions of the courses, so give those to the school you will be attending to be sure they will accept the credit. Hope this helps.

I know it has been a few years but how did you did you do in the course? Did you take anyother courses from them?

Did you save your notes, any guidance?
