Clackamas interview-any advice?

After five rejections last year (one because I failed to check a box on the application :angryfire), I finally figured my grades aren't good enough to get into one of the local BSN programs and only applied to PCC and CCC this year.

I have my interview for CCC on Thursday-does anyone out there have any advice, hints, or tips?

I don't know what I'll do if I don't get into a school this year-I've taken as many prereqs and support courses as I can and am just working while I'm waiting...

I wish I could give you a little insight but I never had to go through the interview process. I would just be yourself and let them know how much you really want to be a nurse and why. Good luck, you'll do great.

Congrats! I also got an interview at Clackamas, but declined as I was accepted into another program, and just couldn't bear another rejection! I spoke with a friend who went to Clackamas, and she said that the interview process, at least the oral part, is mostly asking how you might handle certain situations; meaning - they want to know your logic, maturity, and problem-solving skills. It's in a panel, with 3 or 4 other interviewees, and the ask a question, then go down the line. She encourgage showing creativity, and be yourself. You're trying to impress, but don't be afraid to answer in a manner that makes you unique and stand out from the crowd.

Best of luck to you...can I ask, do you have any kind of background in a clinical setting? I've heard that it can make all the difference in the world. Best of luck to you!!!
