Hi everyone!

I wanted to create a new forum for this year's nursing school applicants. The one that was created a couple years ago had lots of helpful information as we all navigate this application process. Perhaps you found this website because you were doing research on nursing school interviews. Welcome! Feel free to write whatever comes to mind.

 

A little about me:

This is my second year applying to nursing programs here in Oregon. I applied to PCC, CCC, OHSU and Mt. Hood CCC. Last year I got an interview for one of those schools but wasn't selected or waitlisted. 

 

I think we should be hearing back relatively soon whether or not those of us have moved forward to the second phase by getting an interview! Good luck everyone!!

Yes! I did receive an invite for the mock interview about an hour ago, so I’m assuming that’s good news ?

Not sure how active this forum is- but looking for any insight! 

I applied and made it to interview round last year for the BSN-Eastern Oregon campus. I wasn't accepted after the interview, but trying again for this coming fall! Applications due February. 

My question is- how important are pre-req grades in application round vs interview round? I had considered retaking a A&P course to get an A instead of a B.. but I think my essay questions were what got me an interview last year, considering OHSU looks at a more holistic approach to accepting students.
