I went to a mock interview session last month and they said we should hear back about interview invites around mid March. So I am the thinking this week we will hear! I'm very excited but also nervous. I have a 3.9 prereq GPA, 3.7 science GPA and 500+ hours of MA experience. This is my first application cycle. Good luck yall!

I got an invitation for the interview too! I found a pretty useful quizlet with possible questions/practice questions for the interviews if anybody wants the link :) Really nervous about the interviews! Hoping everybody does great!

Based off of everybody elses GPA/work experience, I am really shocked I got in for the interview. I have a pretty good GPA but am not a CNA or MA. I have experience as an In-Home Caregiver but that's it. I am wondering if my essays really helped with getting me in to phase 2...

Awesome! I think I see similar resources on Quizlet, too! Good luck to you.
On the note of what you said about essays being a major part of how you got the interview: I believe so, too. I personally have 10,000+ healthcare work hours but I have a lot of experience for all of the questions they asked on the application as well. I have also heard OHSU has a preference for older candidates, which I happen to fall under.
I don't want to share my cumulative GPA because I am not proud of it. (I never thought of my college career right out of high school. I fooled around and now I'm 30, trying to restart my life) But my prerequisite/science GPA is around 3.5-3.7. I also worked on my personal statement and my "why" in nursing for the past five years, receiving help from physicians, nurses and scholarship-winning students in my personal life.

There's a thread posted for the ABSN but I don't see one for the three year BSN program yet! I sent my application in January 15th for the Portland program. I misunderstood the email that was sent on January 14th. It seemed to imply that if an application was not in verified status on NursingCAS by the application deadline of 02/15, the application would not be considered at all. I had been working on my essays for two months because I wanted to make sure they were perfect. I read over them quickly, made some tweaks and submitted. I'm super nervous that I came off as overzealous or had some grammatical errors I didn't catch the first time.
The website says that we can expect interview invites about a month after the application deadline. Has anyone received an invite yet?
