Hey, I am an RN and wanteD to know what ressources ppl have used to educate themselves as a scrub nurse. I work in the OR but find that all of my learning is only based on what others tell me. I'd like to do more reading and watch video tutorials of tray setups and tips and hints about how certain surgeries go. Where did you go to find this info, good you tube channel or texts. Thanks!

I would truly rely on your preceptors on how things should be set up. Some facilities utilize standard set ups where everyone is expected to set their table/mayo/etc. up in an identical manner so that relief (whether for meal break or change of shift) is less confusing. Plus, there are other factors such as surgeon specific instruments (I think there are at least 8 surgeons in my facility who have actual instrument sets called "Dr. X specials") and what your facility has chosen to place in your standardized basic sets. You could always ask about the opportunity to do practice setups beyond just those done for cases.
