Hello, I was recently hired by Optum to be a Health Care Desicion Support Nurse. I would like to know if ayone has anything good or bad to say about this company and the position. The position is basically the As a Nurse/Triage nurse position. Also, does anyone know what their starting salary is, so I can make sure I wasn't cheated. LOL!

Hi all,

What is the pay range for this type of job. I live in the Dallas area, but would like an evening job, or nights at home, can one start a home position right away?

i don't know the range but i have been a nurse for 5 years, and i received 28.50 plus some change and hour. on top of that is shift difs that range from 3-5 +/hr. apply at optum they are hiring in Plano, they have 8 & 10 hr. shifts and evenings, work from home in 3-6 months depending. and if you apply hit me up because they have a referral bonus and we can split it if you are hired. good luck! go to the united health site to apply.

Training is going well but there is a LOT of information in a short amount of time. I think I will love this job once I get the hang of it. How has your first week been?

humh so far it's a little to structured for me, but i will keep my hopes up. for all that is required we are only getting 3 weeks, which i don't feel is enough. but i am just going to do my best. so i guess to answer if i like it so far....not as of now. but hopefully i will. glad you are enjoying it though.

I agree, it is VERY structured and I also agree that 3 weeks is too short. I will be taking live calls next week. Hope Im ready. How many hours will your shifts be? I am starting out on 8s but I may go to 10s. I never realized how much there is to learn about taking a phone call :confused:. Hang in there.....

i will be on 10s thank God, that way i only work 3 or 3 days then i have 2 days off. yes, i will hang in there and take each "call" at a time. u too as well. let me know how your first week of live calls go. take care

i'm not sure, call and check i think the shifts start at 1o am on.
