options after getting kicked out

Published

What are the options available to those in nursing school that has gotten kicked out of the program? Would they be allowed to apply to another one in another school? Or any other options, while in school (working on my BA in an unrelated field) I saw a lot of students flunk out and change their majors to allied health, whaterver that is? or Health.

Just curious. I may need this advice one day. I begin next semester.

If nursing is what you feel "called" to be, and I do feel nursing is a calling. Then there is not another option. Do not go in with the expectation of failure. If you have what it takes you will not fail.

I would imagine that it would matter WHAT you got kicked out for~ drugs, cheating, patient safety? Or was it just failing to make the grades?

I think your choices would be limited by the reason that you were kicked out of your nursing program. I think regardless that would be a cause to re-evaluate the reason that you want to be a nurse. Don't go into your nursing program with an expectation that you will fail because you will fail if you think this way.

Best of luck in your nursing studies.
