I have an interview to for a new grad internship on Tomorrow. This internship is 200 miles away from home (we are purchasing house and planning on living here). The internship is a great opportunity. 6 months on Med-Surg with preceptor, then rotate through (cardiac, ICU:step down, ER, Maternal newborn). Then do 1 year payback. The dilemma I have a 2 year old son, fiance, house here. We though I could travel and stay with my mom (she lives where internship is), but I just don't know if i could be away from my son, they would come up to my moms sometimes as well. ALSO I am working at an assisted living facility, which i really enjoy, and love my schedule I work MON, TUES and THURS. SO i have all weekends off. The internship would start out the 1st 3 months 8 hours shifts, every other weekend off. THe internship pays for ACLS, PALS, etc. I just can't figure out is is worth it to do the interview and have to be away for 2 years with the internship/payback. The internship pays what I currently make and will have travel costs. I love where I live and plan on living here. So do I stick it out and hope eventually I will get a job at the Hospital. Or is it worth my time, energy, sacrifice to do internship? Opinions, thoughts, ideas? your advise? THANKS

Jobs are so scarce for new grads, I would recommend you take it.
