Opinions on Halifax Health in Daytona

Published

Specializes in ER.

hello!

i was wondering if anyone has worked at halifax in daytona fl. my boyfriend and i are both er rn's and he's got it in his head that he wants to try out halifax or some other hospital on the coast. between the two of us we've worked at every hospital in orlando, so i'm really looking for opinions on places such as halifax, cape canaveral and maybe melbourne hospitals. i understand that every hospital is going to have their issues, but i just wanted to see if anyone could give me a little heads up on any of these facilities.

and if you have a question about orlando, feel free to ask!!

thanks!

hey there... i live in Daytona now and do clinicals at Halifax. I also just got a job there as a student nurse, but I haven't started yet. The hospital is pretty good. It's the largest in Daytona and they are adding on to the hospital and building a brand new ER. I'm sorry I can't offer much help, but I can let you know more when I start working there. I do have a question for you re: Orlando. I am origianally from there and what would you say the starting pay is right now for a new RN after passing the NCLEX? What school did you go to?

I would just like to add a friendly bump to this post.

I'm interested as well.

Anywhere between $20-23 plus diff, I think the higher end is if you have your BSN for Orlando hospitals. As far as Halifax, don't know too much, but heard good things about it. I believe the ER is a level II trauma center
