  1. @mwboswell........Could I send you my practice test results for you to look over?
  2. hello! i was wondering if anyone has worked at halifax in daytona fl. my boyfriend and i are both er rn's and he's got it in his head that he wants to try out halifax or some other hospital on the coast. between the two of us we've worked at every hospital in orlando, so i'm really looking for opinions on places such as halifax, cape canaveral and maybe melbourne hospitals. i understand that every hospital is going to have their issues, but i just wanted to see if anyone could give me a little heads up on any of these facilities. and if you have a question about orlando, feel free to ask!! thanks!
  3. Hi... I took the NCLEX this week and passed. It was kind of scary. The worst part was when the test shut off, and waiting for the results. I ended up getting 175 questions and I thought for sure that I failed it! But it all worked out. I took Kaplan, it was helpful.. sort of. Well, good luck with the rest of your classes!
  4. Ok.. this may be an overly asked question, but has anyone taken NCLEX in the last year or so? Do you think it was easier than the nursing tests we have had to take in the past? I took Kaplan already and I'm trying to study (for what it's worth now). I've heard different things about the test though. I'm taking it in 5 days and yea, I'm freaking out a little!! Any feedback would be appreciated. Thanks!
  5. I just graduated a few weeks ago and applied to an ER Nurse Intern Program at one of our local hospitals. It is a 20 week program designed for GN's/RN's with no previous ED experience. This program has a great reputation for taking brand new nurses and molding them into compitent ER nurses. It's 2 1/2 weeks of classroom time and 18 weeks with a preceptor. There are several different phases and classes that take about one year to finish. I have alot of friends that have done this and are doing great. I start in a few weeks so I'll let you know how it goes! ANd I definately agree about getting a tech job first. It helps so much even if you only do work on or two shift a week.
