Anyone have anything positive or negative to stay about Florida NP programs. I am in the South Florida area and interested in a few schools.
Feedback would be appreciated. Any schools that offer minimal to no on campus time would be great. Thanks.

If you are looking for programs that offer minimal to no on campus time, why restrict to Florida?
I'm attending University of Southern Indiana and have had a wonderful experience. No campus visits required, unless you wish to watch the course in person, instead of via live internet stream. All courses televised, clinical component done 5 minutes walk from my house. Unfortunately, this program is impacted and booked until 2012 with approx. 90 students starting each term. I can't say how many are on the waiting list.
Don't worry though, there are many quality distance NP programs out there. Every year, due to the efficiency and practicality without evidence suggesting inferior quality, more and more schools are offering distance ed components. My last count, there are roughly 50 NP programs in the US that have minimal to no campus time.

I live in Florida and did see FSU has a program online for NP. They require the GRE and I am not taking it.
What do you know about USF? I looked at their website, did not get the impression it was online. Do you know anything different about USF?

Good choice on the GRE. When you get a chance, Google GRE studies and check out some of the results. Essentially, data from metaanalysis now support that not only is the GRE a poor predictor of student success in grad school, but there is actually a negative corelation coeeficient to suggest the better you do on the GRE, the less probability of success you will have.
As far as USF (I presume you are not referring to UCSF) I live about an hour away. Very strong reputation, but I don't think they offer distance ed. Double check, though, as they are known for having strong grads.
Interesting about the GRE. I took it about 10 yrs ago. Did average. I graduated from UF in 96. I am interested in FAU NP program. They are right down the street from me. The only thing is they only accept for Spring. I have no idea how many applicants for the slots. Will be a long wait.

Vanderbilt University in Nashville has a dual ANP/GNP program. You can read all the information on their website.
