It has been a long time, like 6 years since I graduated with my MS degree. I am going back to school to change careers to Nursing. I am just not sure if I can handle it. I am not a science or math person. I graduated with a B in my graduate Statistics but it was easy. Anatomy will be the first of three of my prerequisites that I need. The only reason I am considering taking it, is because Microbiology is only offered once a year at the local college, I can take it during the summer at a college a little further away and shorten my time to get the prerequisites in one year rather than 2. Most of my math classes I squeeked by with a C , some B's.Suggesstions, opinions are greatly desired! Remember I have 2 school age kids and will not be working at that time.
Thank you so much!:wink2:

Don't do it...I screwed up with my course load this semester and I really wished I hadn't.

Hey Liz,
I think its totally doable! I took ANP and Chem together WIN quarter and I got 3.7's in both classes. I'm definitely not a science person myself (I have a BA), But just be prepared to put in some hardwork. I think if you are applying to schools, they look at the course load too. I think they would be inclined to favor someone taking two hard classes and getting a B rather than someone taking one hard class and getting an A. However, I think if you only take one class then next quarter you need to take 2 classes and do well in them too, to show you can handle 2 hard classes together. After all, in actual nursing school is not realistic to take only one class per quarter and so admissions people want to see how well you handle the amount of work.
These two science classes can be taken together in the same sememster if you're a highly intellegent person with flawless time management skills, prioritization, and the ability to follow-through. Keep in mind that you'll likely need 'A' grades in your science classes if you wish to be admitted into nursing school. Their websites say 2.5 gpa, but that's not reality.
